Hello!

Welcome to ReFind Design, eco-friendly jewelry designs and classes.

Greetings & Salutations!

Hi! I'm new to this whole b
logging thing, so maybe I should start by introducing myself.

My name is Sarah Bober.
I’m a Jewelry designer in St. Paul, MN by way of Chicago, IL. Unfortunately jewelry is not my full time job, but fortunately I have a job that I love. I’m a children’s librarian in a school. How fun is that? I get to be around kids all day and I have the perfect excuse to read children’s books all the time. If you don’t get a chance to read children’s literature at all there is some GREAT stuff out there. I love giving book recommendations too, so if you are looking for something for you, your kids, nieces/nephews, etc. to read let me know and I’ll be happy to help think of something.

Why the heck am I doing this? Good question. I love creating my art but I rarely get a chance to talk about it with other people. I thought this would be a great way to connect with other people and artists. I hope it will be a motivator for me, too, to post new pieces and try new things.

I specialize in resin and fine silver (PMC) jewelry. PMC – Precious Metal Clay – is my absolute love! In college I fell in love with ceramics and wheel throwing, and PMC combines my love of clay with my love of jewelry. It’s a totally addictive medium for me. If it wasn’t so expensive I would work with it all the time. I kind of stumbled into creating resin pieces. Recently while looking at jewelry pieces I realized most of the designs I found interesting were resin, so I decided to try and figure out how to make them on my own. I love that you can use resin to capture virtually any small-ish item. Talk about endless possibilities!
