Calling all traders!

One of my favorite things about being an artist is trading. I love being able to share my work with other artists I admire and both of us being able to get something we enjoy. With Christmas getting closer (I hate to say it but it's true) I've been missing Chicago, which is where I grew up. One of my most vivid Christmas memories is driving home from my Grandmother's house on Christmas Eve and looking at all the Chicago Christmas lights. When I was looking for some Chicago-themed images for an etsy treasury I came across two photographers whose work I really admire. They were nice enough to agree to a trade, so now I will have some Chicago pictures to decorate my home. Hooray! Check out their stores if you get a chance and see their wonderful photos. Here are a few of my favorites...
Art Under CJ
The Lion Sleeps Tonight
The first time I went to the Art Institute was with my mother when I was in 8th grade. It was a huge deal because I actually got to (*gasp*) skip school. I remember being absolutely entranced by "Sunday in the Park" by Georges Seurat. I didn't discover until years later that my mother hates Seurat and this piece, which I'm not sure is allowed if you live in Chicago.

Picasso
I remember spending HOURS drawing this sculpture for a contest I was determined to enter. I have no idea whatever happened...I think I actually forgot to mail in my entry, but I still had tons of fun drawing this from every angle imaginable.

Projects of Passion

Chicago Tribune Tower in December
One of my absolute favorites! I have always loved these lights.

I love Minneapolis/St. Paul dearly, but their skyline puts ours to shame. It's like a little baby skyline! There's nothing quite like the view of Chicago.

If anyone is interested in trading, let me know! I'm always up for a good exchange.
